27 points in the men's category, 52 in the women's category: the gap in the UCI World Cup ranking before the final stage in Barcelona was still bridgeable. But in the end, XCE stars Tormena and Perrin-Ganier both managed to stay in the lead.

An exceptional Tormena won the qualifications, managing to stay in the lead in all the final heats. Once again Marion Fromberger proved to be the strongest opponent, but in the end the German champion had to settle for second place both in the day's result and in the general classification. Katharina Sadnik from Austria took a surprising third place on the day while the Netherlands' Annemoon van Dienst took third place on the overall podium.

In the men's race, Titouan Perrin-Ganier secured his first overall UCI World Cup victory by already reaching the grand final. Luckily he did: 'TPG' crashed in this final heat, and therefore he could not fight for the victory of the day. In the end, it was Simon Gegenheimer from Germany who beat Lorenzo Serres (FRA) and Theo Hauser (AUT). Perrin-Ganier finished in 4th place, taking home his first overall UCI World Cup trophy. Gegenheimer is second in the general classification, Serres third.
