The day dedicated to UCI Enduro World Cup he showed all his soul La Thuile - Aosta ValleyFrom the crests above 2.500 meters above sea level to the lights of the Event Village, riders and spectators experienced a day that spanned two completely different worlds: on one side, the silence of the high mountains, on the other, the energy of one of the most engaging events on the entire world calendar.
The first part of the race took place amidst the area's most spectacular scenery. The special stages took the athletes along some of La Thuile's iconic trails: Touriasse, with its iconic start overlooking Mont Blanc, Cambodia, on the Rutor glacier, considered by many riders to be one of the most complete special stages of the entire world circuit, and Belface, completely redesigned and rebuilt for this season to offer an even more technical and spectacular challenge. A route that passed through forests, high-altitude pastures, and unique panoramas, expressing the true essence of Alpine mountain biking.
On the sporting level it was the Frenchman Raphaël Giambi (Speed Project) to achieve the first victory of his career in a UCI Enduro World Cup race, thanks to a race always in the top positions and culminating with the best time in the decisive Night Fall by CVABehind him is his teammate Adrien Dailly, for a prestigious double for the Speed Project team, while Alex Rudeau he completed the podium, consolidating his leadership of the general classification.
Among the women she confirmed her leading role Ella Conolly, who achieved the fifth success of his career in the World Cup, imposing himself with authority on the Aosta Valley trails and strengthening his lead in the general classification. Behind him were Melanie Pugin e Raphael Richter, at the end of a challenge that remained open until the last special stage. Among the Juniors, the domination of Nežka Libnik e Hugo Marti Montessinos, once again winners in their respective categories.
Good indications also for Italian athletes, with Thomas Calonaci, Thomas Francardo e Mirco Harvest still protagonists in the top 20 of the men's Elite race.
As the hours passed, the enduro atmosphere changed completely. From the high mountains, the race descended into the heart of La Thuile, where thousands of people enlivened the day. Event Village, the paddocks and spectator points, including music, food areas, activities dedicated to families, partner games.
The grand finale took place with the Night Fall by CVA, the final special stage of the day and the only night special stage on the entire UCI Enduro World Cup calendar. More than just a show stage, the Night Fall proved to be a true World Cup special stage, decisive for the victory and capable of combining spectacle and competitive spirit. Beneath the powerful light towers that illuminated the forest with a uniform light, hundreds of fans followed the riders' passage, transforming the course into a natural stadium.
Making the atmosphere even more special was the presence of numerous athletes from Downhill who, having concluded their racing commitments, mingled with the public to support their friends engaged in the last special stage.
An image that has become a symbol of the La Thuile stage, where different disciplines share the same weekend and where mountain biking is experienced as a great collective celebration.
After the success of the Short Track, of the finals of Downhill and the day dedicated to theEnduro, the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series prepares for the final act.
Sunday July 5th will be the Olympic Cross Country to close the World Cup weekend, with the absolute debut of the discipline on the trails of La Thuile – Valle d'Aosta.
