La WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series represents the pinnacle of mountain bike competitions and includes every format of the sport in its Gravity and Endurance categories.
The next 10 12-May la Outdoor Region Final is preparing to host for the 17th consecutive year a weekend of high-level gravity races which includes: the opening stage of the two UCI World Cups Enduro and UCI E Enduro and at the same time the Open races in both disciplines valid as Qualifier Events.
Compared to 2023, the event format includes some important changes. The two disciplines Enduro and E-Enduro return on two separate days. Saturday May 11th it will be the athletes' turn Enduro, while Sunday May 12 the athletes of the E Enduro and this applies to both professionals and amateurs.
If on the one hand the professional Enduro and E-Enduro races World Cup I am one unmissable show to watch from the edge of the track and in the event village among the trucks of the respective official teams Open races represent theopportunities for all amateurs to compete with the professional world and for the fastest to aspire to a place in the UCI World Cup.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE AT AMATEUR LEVEL?
All the amateur athletes, in possession of a regular UCI license and an account at the UCI MTB World Series, can earn the chance to access the UCI Mountain Bike Enduro World Cup (*enduro and e-enduro) by satisfying one of the following conditions:
- Accumulate the minimum points required in the Global Ranking during the current 2024 season by participating in the Qualifier Events. This allows you to automatically access the Reserved List and thus obtain priority access to registrations for the 2025 UCI World Cup races (Table reported in Chapter 1 of the Rulebook)
- Achieve podium placings in the Qualifier Events of the current 2024 season. This allows direct access to one or more remaining races on the 2024 calendar (Table shown in Chapter 1 of the Rulebook)
The WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series therefore introduces a Qualifier Events calendar (25 stages in 21 different countries), where it is possible to accumulate Global Ranking points, and which includes a list of locations hosting the UCI World Cup as well as the National Enduro Championships.
Here are the two Italian Qualifier Events:
10 – 12 May 2024 | Final Enduro | Outdoor Region Final, ITA
05 – 06 October 2024 | Italian National Championships | Camp in Elba – Elba Island, ITA
Registrations for the May round of the Outdoor Region Finale will open at the end of March for a total of approximately 150 places, while further information on the Qualifier Events Calendar, on the scores and criteria for assigning Global Ranking Points are available and consultable in UCI World Series Rulebook.
