An extraordinary week dedicated to mountain bike enduro ended today, Sunday 11th May. Outdoor Region Final, with the inaugural stage of the UCI Enduro World Cup 2025 that he saw Pietra Ligure and municipalities of Val Maremola absolute protagonists of the world mountain bike scene.

Open the season of World Cup It is a great responsibility and, in a year in which there was a strong need to return to the roots of the discipline, the challenge was enthusiastically taken up by the local organizing committee.

“The return to the two-day race format is the one that best represents the experience that our territory offers to those who visit it: an adventure that starts from the sea and reaches all the way inland, among incredibly varied landscapes and terrains, in an area where there is always something new to discover,” said Henry Guala, one of the historical promoters of enduro in Italy and marketing director of the Finale Outdoor Region.

The event began to populate the city streets and squares already on Tuesday with the arrival of the athletes' paddocks. The event village in Piazza San Nicolò da Bari also came to life on Friday, animated by over 20 exhibitors including brands from the bike and outdoor sector. On stage, a rich program of talks and meetings with partners and local entities: from the Institute IPSSAR Migliorini of Finale Ligure to the company MET, Plastic Free to the solidarity projects promoted by LIV e Helpcode. There was no shortage of reflections on the future of the discipline with the Italian Cycling Federation and with the organizers of theALL- Enduro.
The numbers tell the story of the effort put in to create a World Cup race: 7 special stages, 6 municipalities crossed, 3 trail areas of Pietrese and Val Maremola involved, a staff of 50 people between FOR and Warner Bros Discovery, 200 volunteers and collaborators, 19 sports and cultural associations active between Liguria and Piedmont.

La Open race on Saturday 10 May, completely pedalled and without motorised transfers, celebrated the excellent performances of local athletes: Giacomo Dodino (Soul Cycles Finale), winner of the Open category, Noemi Luzzara (ASD Calice Bike), third place among the women and Gianni D'Aroma, in the top 10 of the e-EDR won by the Piedmontese Alex Lupato.
La World Cup race, which took place between Saturday and Sunday, provided great twists and turns and spectacle on the trails of the Outdoor Region Final. The one who conquered the highest step of the podium was the Australian Daniel Booker, author of a surprising performance that allowed him to surpass both the Polish Slawomir Łukasik, second, and the reigning World Champion Alex Rudeau, who finished in third place.

In the women's category, British Harriet Harnden triumphed, followed by compatriot Ella Conolly in second place and French Morgane Charre, third.
Among the Men Junior, the great performance of Matteo Falcini of the Abetone Ancillotti Vittoria Factory Team stands out.
