La LTHell – La Thuile Hell It has once again confirmed its character: a physical, technical, and spectacular track, capable of testing the best riders in the world from start to finish. On the Aosta Valley track, along 2,3 km with 641 meters in altitude and an average slope of -27%, dust, loose ground and ever-changing lines made the finals of the UCI Downhill World Cup one of the busiest days of the weekend.
The Elite team that achieved the victory were: Jordan Williams (Specialized Gravity) e Valentina Höll (Commencal Schwalbe by Les Orres)The British skier secured the second World Cup victory of his career, returning to victory after more than three years with a run at the limit. Höll, the reigning world champion, instead achieved her fifteenth World Cup victory, beating her teammate by just a few tenths. Lisa Baumann.
Good indications also for the Italian athletes competing on the LTHell. Among the Elite Women, Scarce Glory he closed in eighth position, confirming itself among the protagonists of the season, while Veronika Widman has finished ª 13. Among the Elite Men, Stefano Introzzi signed on 24 th, while in the Junior Men category excellent performance by Filippo Gilardino, sixth at the finish.
The World Cup also lit up the hearts of La Thuile - Aosta Valley, with the Event Village animated from the early hours of the morning and thousands of people distributed among the spectator points along the LTHell, where the cheering accompanied the finals of the Downhill World Cup. With paddocks open to the public, areas dedicated to partners, a food court, and activities for all ages, the weekend is confirming that the World Cup is much more than just a sporting competition.
