The Italian biker starts 2024 on a high by signing with a Factory team. Goals? Doing well in the World Cup.

Chiara Teocchi Orbea

Chiara Teocchi, 27, has chosen to tackle the fundamental part of her sporting career with the Orbea Factory Team. The Italian cyclist has a long history in the XCO world and has earned the status of Italian champion on four occasions. In addition, she is an extremely versatile cyclist, as demonstrated by her victory of the bronze medal in the first gravel world championship.

Chiara's arrival represents an important strengthening of the female part of the team and another step forward towards the internationalization of the renewed Orbea Factory Team. Chiara will try to shine in the best races in the world and has already been training for a few weeks with her new Orbea Oiz and Orbea Alma, the two bikes on which she will compete throughout 2024.

I'm really excited to be part of the Orbea Factory Team. It is one of the best teams in the world, not only for its reputation and professionalism, but also for being able to compete with the new Orbea Oiz and Alma. I'm motivated to have Anne [Tauber] by my side, learn from her and be able to have a great time with the whole team – Chiara Teocchi

2024 is a special year, and Chiara already knows it. In an Olympic year, her goal is clear. “My main focus for this season will be Paris. First of all I will look for the ranking to represent my country; and if I succeed, I will prepare myself in the best possible way for this race".

Honestly, it's the best bike I've ever ridden in my entire life. It's made for me.
Its geometry allows me to have a very safe bike on fast and technical sections despite riding a small size. I also appreciate the relationship between lightness and rigidity of the frame. The move to 120mm feels like a success and I can tackle the technical areas with greater confidence
– Chiara Teocchi
