Trail hunting: Val Vigezzo, Colpretto descent

This Colpretto descent fits a bit halfway between the two dimensions. In fact it is part of the Vigezzo Bike Land project, which is characterizing the Vigezzo valley as a biker friendly destination.

Val Vigezzo Bikeland

We like to discover new trails, whether they are within structured areas or following the hard and pure natural philosophy. This Colpretto descent fits a bit halfway between the two dimensions. In fact it is part of the Vigezzo Bike Land project, which is characterizing the Vigezzo valley as a biker friendly destination, but it remains a completely natural track, where the Biffo team has not done any kind of work. The result is a descent in which you have to carefully evaluate each step, look ahead and improvise. A smooth ride where you don't need to look for performance and speed but where you need to find the feeling with the forest, its slopes and its natural movement.

The approach

The town of Malesco, the starting point of this tour

you start from Malesco, from the cemetery car park and follow the signs for the 'climbs of the vco' alternating asphalted sections with others within a splendid beech wood. This up to the crossroads for Alpe Cortino; from there you proceed on a comfortable ride that ends right at the alp itself.

The journey continues along a path where it is sometimes necessary to get off the bike. The beginning of the descent is not well marked, a sign sent to continue with caution marks the start of this descent.

The departure is located near the sign indicating a descent where to pay attention
