We were in Meribel to run the Enduro2, a race that takes place in the mountains surrounding the beautiful French town in a context of Bike Park and Alpine paths. Oh yes, Alpine paths because we easily find peaks that reach almost 3000m above sea level.
The format is BLIND, which means that it is forbidden to try the route: this requires a lot of technique and clarity if you want to get the result, but Enduro2 is a big party and many couples take this adventure as pure fun. Descending without knowing the route at your 80% is often less risky than descending at 110% because you know the route by heart.
The race was also open to e-bikes but we must say that this race fully embraces the "muscle" format, as the transfers are not long (about 5/600m per day) with the often use of chairlifts. The PSs, however, will be enough to put you to the test: just think that we placed in 6th place with a time, in the special, of 1h38'! Trails equally divided between natural and bike parks.
