XC ROUTE
Mountain bike races are scheduled at the Izu Mountain Bike Course, about 120 km from Tokyo and not far from Mount Fuji, where the road cycling trials will be held. The route is very "new school" with a length of 4,1 km and 150m of elevation gain.
BLUE ATHLETES CALLED UP
The men's blue mountain bike team finished in second place (behind Switzerland) in the UCI ranking and was thus able to bring 3 athletes to the men's field: the coach Mirko Celestino chose Luca Braidot, Gerhard Kerschbaumer and Nadir Colledani, leaving Daniele Braidot in reserve despite the 6th place in the test of the previous Tokyo Cup. In the women's field, it will be up to Eva Lechner to keep our colors high.
BMX
In the BMX field, our standard-bearer will be Giacomo Fantoni from Verona. Son of art since his mother answers to the name of Linda Spiazzi, pioneer of the national blue mountain bike team (downhill) with Paola Pezzo and Giovanna Bonazzi.
