YT CAPRA Core 1 and 2: for those who want an enduro bike without breaking the bank. In this historical period of "bikes that cost like a motorcycle", YT goes against the tide and launches a new model that is even cheaper than their Capra enduro bike.
The Capra MK3 was launched in 2021, with 170mm of travel front and rear and a choice of carbon and alloy frames. The new base model, the Capra Core 1, uses an aluminum frame and is available with 29″ mullet (MX) or full wheel configurations.
GOAT Core 1
The platform is that of the GOAT MK3. Available in five sizes with both MX (mullet) and full 29″ configurations, this base features a Sludge Green hydroformed aluminum frame. The fork is a 170mm RockShox ZEB. Out back, Rockshox Super Deluxe Select R.
The brakes are four-piston SRAM DB8s for reliable stopping power and use mineral oil. SRAM Centerline discs, SRAM NX Eagle shifting with Eagle PG1210 11-50t 12-speed cassette. E*thirteen TRS chainguide and Sun Ringle Duroc Comp SD37 wheels. The YT Postman dropper post is longer than ever: 200mm for size XXL, 170mm for XL/L, 150mm for M and 125mm for size S.
GOAT Core 2 GX
Change in the drivetrain department: Full SRAM GX Eagle shifting and YT Postman seatpost in all five sizes: 200mm for size XXL, 170mm for XL/L, 150mm for M, and 125mm for a size S.
FOX 38 Performance fork and Float X rear shock, both with proven performance for when the trail shows the attributes. Crankbrothers Synthesis aluminum wheels with Maxxis Assegai and DHR II tyres. SRAM Code R brakes with Matchmaker mounts, E*thirteen cockpit, ODI grips and the classic SDG Bel Air 3.0 saddle.
