In difficult circumstances (hot weather and a demanding track), they took the victory in front of the not very numerous Turkish crowd. The 6th stage took place in Ayçiçek Vadisi Bisiklet Adası, a cycling stadium in Sakarya.
Italian Gaia Tormena controlled her race from start to finish, claiming her fifth win of the season in the UCI World Cup. In an interesting battle for second place, the German Marion Fromberger preceded the Brazilian Marcela Lima. Mariske Strauss from South Africa finished fourth while Iryna Popova from Ukraine finished fifth in the small final.
In the last men's race it was the Frenchman Titouan Perrin-Ganier who won (second World Cup victory this year). The brave attempts of the Swede Edvin Lindh to overtake the French champion did not work. Lindh secured second place. Lower in the men's results, up and coming talent Theo Hauser (Austria) is third.

The first position in the men's overall is still for the German UCI world champion Simon Gegenheimer, absent in Sakarya but returning to the UCI World Cup by racing in next week's historic round in Palangkaraya, Indonesia.
