Jolanda Neff demonstrated her excellent form in the Short Track and dominates the Elite round. Behind her the young Mitterwallner and Batten. Amazing 4th place for Martina Berta!

Jolanda Neff gave a lesson in technique and strength on a circuit complicated by the arrival of the rain. It is her fourth victory in Mont-Sainte-Anne. Best result ever for Martina Berta in the World Cup (Santa Cruz FSA): she is in 4th place!

WATCH THE REPLAY

In the starting phases there was a crash involving athletes such as Rocío del Alba García and local star Emily Batty. The Canadian, who seems to be in a good moment of form, is not having any luck and several crashes have affected her last races. This, in a competition that she expected a lot from, must have been particularly painful from her mental point of view.

The first part of the race saw Rebecca McConnell attack and make rhythm immediately. But McConnell couldn't keep up that pace and her race was a slow decline to finishing nineteenth. Just when she reached McConnel, she started to rain and the race became very technical. Jolanda Neff, thanks to her excellent technique, took the opportunity to attack and head off, as the circuit lent itself to such a tactic.

The group of pursuers tries to close but there is no energy: between skids, small falls and technical problems, the race has become a test of survival. Yolanda Neff he flies in the technical areas and, lap after lap, increases his advantage to go and take perhaps his most important victory ahead of the world championship in Les Gets.

The fight for the podium remained very open. Haley Batten defended the second place against the young Mona Mitterwallner, who made another of her comeback races (curious dynamic in such a young athlete): in the end the young Austrian takes 2nd place right on Batten. We remind you that she is her, by age, in the second year under 23 and has asked for an exemption to run already with the Elite!

Martina Berta closes in 4th place overtaking Alessandra Keller, who was the author of a bad crash at the beginning of the race. 24th the other Italian at the start, namely Greta Seiwald, Berta's teammate at the Santa Cruz FSA.

[email protected] I am a fan of everything that has 2 wheels: at a young age I practiced road and track cycling (Italian Allievi champion). At the age of 18 I passed into the cross country competing at national/international level as an Under23. Past Elite, I made the choice to take things more lightly from a training point of view, and my love for gravity disciplines was born, training me as an FCI MTB instructor and guide. Now I have made passion my profession by managing 2 MTB centers on the island of Elba (Bike Center Elba and Elba MTB), creating the FANTAmtb and telling in an ironic but professional way everything that revolves around MTB thanks to 365mountainbike and 365TV (YouTube'PULITI dentro BIKER fuori').
