The XCC format is a very short format with races of about 25 minutes: this means that the pace is wild and the outsiders can be many. Last year, in Val di Sole, the first edition of the XCC (Short Track) World Championships took place and Sina Frei (Switzerland) and Christoper Blevins (USA) won.
ELITE MEN
Christopher Blevins he will have to defend the title but this season he has shown many ups and downs: his potential was only seen in the American stage, where he won the Short Track and finished 4th in the XCO race. As well as Henrique Avancini, author of a not brilliant vintage. Names eligible for victory Filippo Colombo (Switzerland) and Alan Hatherly (South Africa). Outsiders to keep an eye on New Zealand's Sam Gaze and Mexican Gerardo Ulloa, capable of battling for victory in the Short Track of Mont Sainte Anne.

IMPORTANT ABSENCES
We do not find Tom Pidcock at the start, Nino Schurter, Vlad Dascalu and Luca Braidot. Nino Schurter showed that he doesn't like the XCC format very much: very short and explosive races where he struggles to find the rhythm. Luca Braidot instead wants to go All-in with the queen race on Sunday, leaving his brother Daniele with the task of holding the Braidot flag high. Other important names not starting are David Serrano, not suitable for this type of races, and Titouan Carod.
ELITE WOMEN
The favorite seems to be Alessandra Keller, an explosive athlete already winner in various stages of Short Track. When she is in shape she is one of the most powerful and explosive athletes among women. The experts Jolanda Neff and Pauline Ferrand Prevot will be in the game. Outsider the Swedish Jenny Rissveds and the Swiss Linda Indergand. XCO world champion Evie Richards will be at the start but this year was not her vintage: various back problems they kept her out of competition.

IMPORTANT ABSENCES
We do not find Anne Terpstra and Loana Lecomte at the street, who bet everything on XCO race on Sunday. Martina Berta and Mona Mitterwallner have also decided to skip the XCC race.
