Ok, some confusion is allowed: but what is WES? The World Cup in electric format had not already been made official with the official calendar of the UCI World Cup? The answer is yes: but while the “official” format is in the Enduro version (precisely the e-EDR), the EWS is run as a Cross Country race.
The UCI puts its hands forward and also maintains this format in order not to let the idea be "stolen". The XCE Eliminator also follows this path, not being part of the official UCI World Cup but organizing its own circuit always under the aegis of the UCI.
WES Management SARL is the company responsible for the WES and, together with the UCI, has just released the 2023 WES calendar. A championship that debuted in 2019 and which will start with its most traditional event in Monaco on the 20th and 21st of May.
