Compared to the previous days, the track has dried out (we have also seen in a downhill how conditions have changed). Leogang is one of the hardest circuits in the world cup with a lot of climbing but also a lot of technical and very natural in the woods.
Now the U23 race always sees the usual dominator, martin vidaurre, Chilean but with a German mother. The race always sees the Chilean talent decide the pace with Simone Avondetto and Filippo Fontana always in the very first positions. On the penultimate lap, Vidaurre increases and remains alone, leaving Fontana and Avondetto to chase, who have played for 2nd place during the last lap.
Great performance for the 2 Italians who are proving to be more and more international level riders.

Among the women, Line Burquier is stopped in the sprint by the Dutch Pieterse. Before the Italians, Giada Specia in 8th place.
Immediately after the start, Sofie Pedersen and Dutchman Puck Pieterse took the lead with the French Line Burquier, which seems to be in excellent shape as always.
During the second lap the Pieterse stretches putting the Burquier in crisis, which however returns later. In the third lap again forcing and the Danish Pedersen gives up. The arrival is in a sprint with the Dutch overtaking the French.
As said, better than ours, Giada Specia: 8 ^ on arrival. Twelfth was Sara Cortinovis from Bergamo (Santa Cruz FSA) who for the first time this season failed to enter the top ten.
