WC # 3 Leogang DH Elite M: Matt Walker in front of everyone

The winner of the World Cup pandemic version 2020, wins his first World Cup round with a solid proof. 2nd Danny Hart, who exalts himself in the mud, and 3rd Suarez Alonso.

The path has dried up with respect to qualifications, but kept a very high insidiousness. First part fast but then a very treacherous wood that put all the competitors to the test, leading them to risk a lot (in fact the slips were not uncommon).

First victory in the Cup, despite winning the general in 2020, for the 23-year-old Matt walker. The British athlete took a risk and won the victory with only 3 tenths of an advantage over fellow countryman Danny Hart, always at ease in the mud.

Third position for Angelo Suarez Alonso in his best career performance. Amaury Pierron, disappointed, is in 4th place but earns a lot in the cup overall where it will be difficult to undermine him. Too bad for Benoit Coulanges: in the lead until halfway through the race but then throws the great result due to a slip in the technical piece of the forest.

Fifth place goes to Andreas Kolb, also on his first podium in the DH World Cup. Excellent descent for Loris Revelli who finished in 25th place. Mr Leogang, Aaron Gwin, pulls an 11th place out of the cylinder.

The fourth round will take place in a month in the Swiss resort of Lenzerheide, from 8 to 10 July.

ppgad@pucrs.br I am passionate about everything that has 2 wheels: in my youth I practiced competitive cycling on the road and on the track with good results. At the age of 18 I moved to cross country competing at national/international level as U23. Once I passed Elite, I made the choice to take things easier from the training point of view, and that's how my love for gravity disciplines was born, training as an FCI MTB instructor and guide. Now I have made my passion my profession by managing 3 MTB centers on the island of Elba (Elba MTB), creating the FANTAmtb and telling in an ironic but professional way, everything that revolves around MTB thanks to 365mountainbike and 365TV (YouTube 'PULITI dentro BIKER fuori').
