In 2019 the young Romanian won four rounds of the world cup (Nove Mesto, Andorra, Les Gets and Val di Sole), the Europeans in Brno, Czech Republic and the world championships in Mont-Sainte-Anne, Canada. In this last appointment Dascalu puts his opponents in line by crossing the finish line with a gap of 1:57 "from Filippo Colombo and 2:06" from Vital Albin.
That victory was Romania's first gold medal in 30 years of participating in the Mountain Bike World Championships.

In 2020 he moves into elite racing with TEAM TREK - PIRELLI, but due to many ups and downs the season did not go as expected by Dascalu.
In 2021 he came 7th at the Olympic Games and 2nd in the World Cup in Snowshoe, USA.

“The results obtained last year gave me the confidence to keep improving. I want to keep that kind of routine and do the retreats that I did at high altitude before the important races. I just want to give my best. What I want is to win the World Cup "
