Vincenzo Nibali needs no introduction, one of the few athletes to have won all three Grand Tours. The Italian is making the transition from professional rider to industry pro, particularly with his involvement in the new Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team.

Vincenzo recently spent a day at SCOTT HQ setting up his bike and talking about future projects, the new team, the races and more:
Life after the Pro Tour: I'd like to go from a professional career to "normal life" without ceasing to do business. During my last year of professional cycling, I had the idea of starting to practice MTB more, since I could not spend much time in the saddle during my career. It's a great way to be in nature, there's a great community, and at the end of the day, I still enjoy spending time on my bikes. Most people at the Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team training camp in Calpe were asking me: “Vincenzo, why are you still riding with these guys?” At the end of the day, it's still my favorite thing to do.
Future goals: I don't have specific goals, but I have challenges in mind. Naturally Cape Epic will be a great way to experience a new adventure. I am happy to participate with my friend Ivan Santaromita. He left professional cycling a few years before me, so I'll enjoy getting him back in shape.
Be a cycling ambassador: I receive many requests to be present at events, races, granfondos. It was a fantastic experience. When I was a pro, I could interact a little with the fans of the sport, but now I can really spend more time with them, taking pictures and having a chat. It was also a moving experience, as many of them only knew me from watching the races on TV. Some even cried when I retired so now I get to spend time with them and they can meet me in person.
