The event is scheduled for the next 17th and 18th September in the Alpine city of Morbegno. The program, the description of the initiatives and the possibility to register are already available on event website.

Designed on a completely renewed track, the Festival Ride on Saturday 17th will be a real party dedicated to all cycling enthusiasts. A beautiful day on a bicycle to discover the ancient rural villages, among vineyards, castles, woods and small alpine villages.

The route is divided into two tracks: a Challenge Route of about 40 km which includes passages on dirt paths (however never excessively demanding) and the Easy Route of about 25 km which only involves traveling on paved or paved roads. A solution designed to guarantee an exciting and fun experience for all skill levels: from the great mountain-bike enthusiast to those who simply want to experience a nice ride in the company of their friends. The two paths intersect each other near the various refreshment points, where it will be possible to taste some typical products of the area.

Local food and wine, on the other hand, is the absolute protagonist of Sunday 18th, where thanks to the Gusto di Valtellina tour, you will have the opportunity to savor the best of Valtellina cuisine. In fact, the itinerary includes several tasting stages set up in prestigious locations: the ancient Abbey of San Pietro in Vallate (dated 1078 AD), the Latteria Valtellina in Delebio and the suggestive Palazzo Parravicini, which today houses the town hall of Traona, where you can also visit the historic cellars. Not only tastings, but also a beautiful bike ride on a 25 km track that runs through some sections of three very famous cycle and pedestrian paths: the Sentiero del Viandante, the Via dei Terrazzamenti and the Sentiero Valtellina.
The Val Masino and Foresta Incantata excursion is very confirmed, a tour that will take fans inside one of the wonders of creation. Here you will take a cycle path through woods and erratic boulders, visit the lakes of emerald green water, taste the thermal waters directly from the source and enter the Masino Forest which, with its dense shade and large rocks covered with musk, evokes a fairytale setting. Val Masino, together with the Val Di Mello Nature Reserve (which can be visited by leaving the bicycle for a short distance and proceeding on foot), is in fact considered one of the most beautiful natural paradises in Italy.

The novelty of the 2022 edition will instead be the Parco delle Orobie and Via Priula excursion. A tour that will take us into the past, on the paths of 1500 built by the Venetians to facilitate trade between the Swiss cantons, the San Marco Pass up to the Serenissima Repubblica. We will visit the beautiful alpine village of Albaredo, which more than any other has been able to keep its centuries-old traditions alive, the Ecomuseum of the Orobie Park, to discover the secrets of Bitto processing, and the beautiful Dosso Chierico (1250 m), a small mountain pasture with an amazing view of the valley below Always within the Bitto Valleys, but on a completely new path, the Trail Experience will take place endlessly. A tour dedicated to the most skilled enthusiasts and which requires great driving skills on alpine paths with a bumpy and rocky bottom. Here the participants will be able to walk the adventurous trails of Val Gerola admiring the spectacular scenery of the Orobie Valtellinesi Park.

The fulcrum of the event will be the eBike Village set up close to the beautiful historic center of Morbegno, elected Alpine City for its commitment to developing eco-sustainable tourism and for supporting zero-kilometer production. Here a colorful village will be set up with music, pump-tracks, activities for families and stands where you can get to know the new ebike models and the best products dedicated to cycle tourism.
The event is supported by the most important institutions in the area: the Lombardy Region, the Province of Sondrio, the Mountain Community and the Municipality of Morbegno, the Adda BIM and other territorial bodies and foundations. Main Sponsor of the event is MET Helmets, a Valtellina company based in Morbegno which is a world leader in the production of helmets and protective devices for cycle tourism.
Exceptional partner is the komoot tracing application which will pay homage to all participants with the digital map containing the routes of the entire Lombardy region.

The Valtellina Ebike Festival is a great mountain-bike event with a green heart that has as its values the promotion of the Valtellina territory, its culture, its food and wine and is based on the welcome of the people of these valleys.
