This year, the first of the new management of the World Cup by ESO Sport – Warner Bros Discovery within the UCI Mountain Bike World Series, the event signed by Grandi Eventi Val di Sole and APT Val di Sole gains a day of races. Starting tomorrow, Thursday, in fact, there will be a race to win in the short track for the Under 23 women's (17pm) and men's (30pm) categories.
The Short Track is just one of the four formats that will provide entertainment over the long weekend in Val di Sole: highly anticipated, as always, is the Downhill, scheduled for Saturday on the legendary Black Snake track; the Olympic Cross Country will close the program with a bang on Sunday afternoon, while the now traditional appointment with the Four Cross Pro Tour will be renewed on Friday evening. In total, over 700 Elite, U23 and Junior athletes from the five continents will be competing in Val di Sole.

Wednesday in Daolasa started with the classic Track Walk of the athletes of Downhill on the Black Snake slope, one of the world symbols of the discipline, which then made room for the first official training sessions for the Junior Women and Men categories, which also saw one of the most eagerly awaited athletes by Italian - and Trentino - enthusiasts in action.
Chris Hauser, Trentino from Mezzocorona and Val di Sole Bike Land athlete, born in 2006, a few weeks ago got the taste of winning in his absolute debut in the Junior World Cup, and on Friday he will try to do the same on what he defines, for all intents and purposes, the home track.
Black Snake
“The track has stayed the same, but the Black Snake has changed a lot because dirt has been added,” Hauser explained. “The layout is very wide, but with chicanes that favor slowing down, which are very beautiful and fun. This is my home race: first of all I want to have fun on my bike, but at the same time I'm aware that I can aim for a prestigious result, such as a podium".

THE APPOINTMENTS AND THE PROTAGONISTS
On Thursday Hauser will be engaged in official practice (from 16:00) in view of the Junior Men's Final on Friday 30 (13:15), preceded by the Women's Final of the same age (12:45). In the afternoon he will again take part in the Short Track, this time for the Elite categories: Women at 17.45pm and Men at 18.30pm, live on Raisport and Eurosport / GCN / Discovery +.
It will be the first chance for Luca Braidot and Martina Berta, the most anticipated Italian athletes in the Olympic discipline, to leave their mark, and try to earn a good starting position for the Cross Country on Sunday, which will see them again as protagonists. In the evening, under the lights of Daolasa, the appointment with the Four-cross and the 4X Pro Tour Event will be renewed, starting at 21.00:XNUMX pm.
Saturday 1st July will be the day of the Black Snake, with the Elite finals scheduled for 13.00:14.00 (women), with the Alto Adige native Veronika Widmann expected after the withdrawal of Eleonora Farina from Trentino, recovering from a broken collarbone, and at 17.00:XNUMX (men). Both events will be broadcast in Italy by Raisport and Eurosport/GCN/Discovery+. In the afternoon, at XNUMX:XNUMX, it will be the children who will get into action with the GIANT Mini World Cup of Cross Country.

On Sunday 2nd July, as per tradition, the Cross Country will close the Val di Sole Bikeland programme, with the giant Nino Schurter, ten times World Champion, looking for his sixth laurel in Val di Sole. The Women U23 race will start at 08.30, followed by Men U23 at 10.30, Women Elite at 13.00 and Men Elite at 15.00. Both Elite races will be broadcast live on Raisport and Eurosport/GCN/Discovery+.
FUN AND SUSTAINABILITY
Once again this year the Daolasa stage of the World Cup proves to be at the forefront in terms of attention to the environment and the commitment to reduce the carbon footprint of the event, which has obtained the "EcoEventi Trentino" badge. The emissions that cannot be abated will in fact be offset by supporting an environmental project in Laos, in Southeast Asia, in collaboration with Climate Partner.
For the many who want to experience the great MTB show in the field, the fun will not end at the finish line: in fact, there will be numerous moments of music and fun. On the evening of Friday 30 June the One Horse Band show and their personal mix of alternative rock, ska and post-punk will be staged together with the Val di Sole Bikeland Party with DJ Alessandro Costa. On Saturday 1st July, the program of collateral events will open at 18.00 pm with the Bikeflip Show followed by the RockaBike Fest at 21.30 pm and the Kate Klein showcase at 24.00 am.
