Val di Sole 2021, Goldstone and Yankova best JUNIOR

After yesterday's evening downpour, the sunny morning welcomed the protagonists of the future of the Downhill world. In the Junior competitions it was Canada and Bulgaria that played the part of the leading nations.

Jackson Goldstone won the men's race with a time of 3.37.097. The Canadian played the second part of the Black Snake to the best of his ability, after passing third in the half-time interim. Behind him, the British Jordan Williams (+1.812) and the Australian Lachlan Stevens-McNab (+3.560) completed the podium. Seventh was the Italian Davide Cappello, who in Friday's qualifying had set the third time lapse.

The Bulgarian Izabela Yankova confirmed the predictions of the eve by dominating the women's race in 4.30.865. Behind her, the Norwegian Kine Haugom (+10.844) and the Canadian Gracey Hemstreet (+13.245).
