Dutchman Ivar Slik won the men's 200 miles (321km) race of Garmin Unbound Gravel 2022: the most important race in the gravel field, a sort of unofficial World Championship. Mattia De Marchi is also at the start. Ivar Slik, ex Rabobank pro, won after 9 hours and 22 minutes in the sprint ahead of the favorite, and biker, Keegan Swenson. Third another former road racer: Ian Boswell.

Among the protagonists is Mattia De Marchi, a former road racer who, after leaving the professional world, is dedicating himself to ultracycling. He won 'The Traka' race, a 365km Spanish event. In the end he finished in 11th place, having attacked mid-race with Lauren Ten Dam.
Among the women, Sofia Gomez Villafane wins, winning solo after 130km of competition. Gomez, who won the Cape Epic 2022 in the company of Haley Batten, attacked right away by demolishing her opponents. Also in the race was the former MTB champion Lea Davison who finished in 23rd place.
