DOWNHILL

On the “STRAIGHTline” DH we expect a good performance from Eleonora Farina, third in the last stage, and Veronika Widmann, bronze at the recent European Championships. The blue will have to contend with Switzerland Camille Blanche, so far the undisputed star of the season, the Austrian Valentina Höll who recently won at Crankworx Innsbruck and the world champion Myriam Nicole. In the men's field, the return of the 2021 Cup winner Loïc Bruni after injury to the collarbone is expected. The Frenchman hopes to show the same form as his teammate Finn Iles, the leader of the general classification Amaury Pierron and Matt Walker, winner in Leogang.
CROSS COUNTRY

Turning to cross country the condition of the French champion continues to grow Loana lecomte in view of the World Championships to be held in Les Gets at the end of August. Repeating himself in the general classification is not his priority, but he will certainly be looking for a victory in every stage of the Cup that he will play. The leader of the general classification, the Australian Rebecca McConnell will try to scrape together the most points. Running at home, we cannot fail to mention the Olympic champion Jolanda Neff. The promising Martina Berta returns to the Cup, while the world champion Evie Richards is out for positivity to the covid. Among men it would be magical for Nino Schurter break the all-time record for World Cup victories (33) which he currently shares with Julien Absalon on home soil. Naturally the Swiss Mathias Flückiger will try to ruin his plans, exactly as happened in Leogang a few weeks ago. Among the contenders for a prestigious result, Italy is betting on Luca Braidot, fresh winner of the Internazionali d'Italia Series circuit.
