The La Thuile MTB Race program had an emotional conclusion on Sunday 26 June, dedicated to the Cross Country trials for the Esordienti and Allievi categories, and to the Italian Cross Country Eliminator Championships.

The home athletes, Filippo Agostinacchio (Trinx Factory Team) and the Specialty World Champion Gaia Tormena (GS Lupi Valle d'Aosta), won the two national titles up for grabs in La Thuile.
In the men's Big Final, Agostinacchio left behind Cristian Bernardi (Team Sogno Veneto) and Emanuele Vega Bocchio (ASD Rock Bike Team). Among the women, Gaia Tormena, World Champion of the category, did not betray her expectations, leaving behind Marta Zanga (KTM Protek) and Julia Maria Graf (Junior Team Südtirol) at the end of a final dominated from the first to the last meter.


The races of cross country for the youth categories they held the court in the morning on the demanding circuit which the day before had staged the spectacular races of the Internazionali d'Italia Series. Affirmations in the Students categories for Elia Rial (1st Year Men), Tommaso Bosio (2nd Year Men), Elisa Ferri (1st Year Women) and Elisa Lanfranchi (2nd Year Women). The Beginners competitions went instead to Giacomo Vaudano (1st Year Men), Emanuele Savio (2nd Year Men), Maria Chiara Simonelli (1st Year Women) and Elisa Giangrasso (2nd Year Women).
With the Italian Cross Country Eliminator Championship, three days of highly technical competitions concluded in La Thuile, which once again highlighted the stars of world MTB. “I am very satisfied with the result of this weekend,” said the head of the organizing committee Enrico Martello. “For La Thuile, this is a confirmation of the levels of excellence in the first edition characterized by the conquest of the UCI HC category. Every year we try to propose new things and this time too we hit the mark with the introduction of a fun pump track section. Thanks to the staff of Funivie Piccolo San Bernardo, to the Municipality of La Thuile, to my staff and to CM Outdoor Events, which for three editions has chosen La Thuile for the grand finale of the Internazionali d'Italia Series.”
