Today Trek launched three new mountain bike helmets with improved WaveCel safety technology.

The line offers something for all off-road riders, from beginners just getting into the sport to more experienced enduro enthusiasts looking for more coverage on the most challenging trails. Each new helmet features WaveCel technology, which is lighter and more ventilated, with optimized cell walls that help save 15 grams and allow for 10% larger cells to allow for greater airflow. WaveCel is a foldable cellular structure that lines the inside of the helmet and was designed to be more effective than traditional foam helmets at protecting the head from injuries caused by some cycling accidents. Trek and Bontrager's exclusive tech helmet received a 5-star safety rating from Virginia Tech.
