Trek has expanded the range of e-MTBs with the new E-Caliber model, the progenitor of an unprecedented family of lightweight XC electric mountain bikes equipped with Fazua systems.

E-Caliber is based on the design of Trek's well-known XC Supercaliber competition model. Equipped with Trek's exclusive IsoStrut shock, the new E-Caliber favors the long distances and speeds of XC. Thanks to a specific suspension system and additional electric assistance, it makes pedaling easier on trails cross country, allowing you to conserve energy for longer and to cover greater distances.
Unlike typical electric mountain bikes, which are increasingly aimed at driving on challenging terrain and uphill to allow riders to let off steam downhill, E-Caliber offers a lightweight solution designed to enhance the experience on the most authentic XC trails.
Lightweight and XC performance
The E-Caliber is Trek's lightest full suspension electric mountain bike: the top-of-the-range version has a weight limited to just over 15kg. This model bridges the gap with the strongest riders and makes only a memory the limits that cyclists often impose on themselves, avoiding the inconveniences that can derive from climbs, distances and demanding terrains without however compromising the sense of satisfaction of large companies.
Each E-Caliber in the range is equipped with an ultra-intelligent Fazua Evation drive system that offers 55Nm of torque, a range of up to 70km and three assistance modes that can be activated via Fazua's brand new bX control.
The lightweight drive system barely reaches 4kg and supports speeds up to 25km / h. When the maximum assistance limit is exceeded, the system exhibits no resistance or inertia, ensuring the smooth action of an ultra-fast XC bike.
Smart trail software
On the Fazua Evation system adopted for the E-Caliber runs the brand new BLACK PEPPER software, designed both to deliver power over a wider cadence range (from 50 to 120rpm) and to offer superior reactivity even at low speeds. In fact, assistance is immediate from the first pedal stroke and does not show any hesitation.
In addition, this intelligent assistance software can be adapted to the individual pedaling style thanks to the customization features offered by the Fazua Toolbox Software 2.0. These functions allow you to adjust the system settings through a simple and practical interface.
Through the Fazua “Rider” app, E-Caliber users can access the wide range of data generated by the sensors and by the system itself, monitoring driving performance in detail. To simplify data transfer to a wide range of devices, the E-Caliber is compatible with Bluetooth.
Specifications from electric XC
The geometry of the E-Caliber is designed like an XC electric bike. Compared to the Supercaliber, it is 1,5 ° more relaxed, with a 67,5 ° head tube angle and longer reach to ensure greater stability while driving at consistently higher speeds. The E-Caliber models are also equipped with an oversized 120mm fork.
Just like the Supercaliber version, the E-Caliber is equipped with Trek's exclusive IsoStrut shock, a structural suspension solution that combines 60mm of travel with unique pivot-free seat stays that follow the ground for maximum smoothness and speed.
One bike, two ways to love it
E-Caliber can easily be transformed into a fantastic analog XC bike - simply remove the Fazua motor and install the supplied down tube cover.
This offers the opportunity to take advantage of a driving experience free from any resistance, with performance and handling qualities typical of a true competition XC bike. By removing the Fazua system and installing the supplied cover, the weight is reduced by 2,9kg.
