Trek today unveiled the brand new Rail electric mountain bikes. These are the first versions equipped with Bosch's brand new smart technology. The new Rail 9.8 and 9.9 are built with the latest trail bike components, feature a powerful Bosch drive system, and boast superior performance and customization features over previous models.

An unsurpassed e-MTB experience

The new Bosch smart system stems partly from a component update and partly from a software update. The result is absolutely fantastic. Cyclists can count on a completely new battery, remote control and display. In addition, the eBike Flow app offers new ways to personalize the driving experience, log activities and perform updates over the air using just your smartphone.

Powerful drive system

Thanks to the new 750Wh battery, the Performance CX drive unit assists pedaling up to 25km / h, offering a maximum range of 140km. This is a 20% increase in autonomy compared to previous Rail models. The 85Nm of torque help cyclists tackle the most difficult climbs.

New remote control and new display

A new LED remote control features color-coded ride modes so cyclists can determine the selected assistance level at a glance. In addition, thanks to the new eBike Flow app, the entire Bosch system can be updated wirelessly via Bluetooth. The Kiox 300 color display installed on the top tube allows you to view all the pedaling data in a clear and concise way.

EBike Flow App

The new eBike Flow app from Bosch is packed with useful functions. Allows cyclists to customize assistance behavior and perform system diagnostics. In addition to this it includes a navigation function that provides all the necessary driving directions. The app also tracks driving activity, automatically collecting pedaling data and pausing when the rider stops for a break.

Perfect pressure on every ride

Rail 9.9 models also feature smart tools that keep air pressure under control. TyreWiz monitors tire pressure while AirWiz monitors fork and shock pressure. The rider only needs to set the desired pressure in the SRAM AXS app and check the lights before each ride: red indicates that more pressure is needed, green gives the green light.

Customization

New Rail models are customizable through Trek's Project One program. Cyclists can choose the model, paint and components to create the perfect e-MTB for their needs.
