Enduro mountain biking is the best way to reach new locations, explore new trails and experience life at a different pace. The Portuguese island located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean is growing exponentially in terms of adventure sports, with enduro paving the way to a new goal. Great mountains, beautiful landscapes, warm weather all year round, delicious food and over 500 years of culture make Madeira one of the best
places for mountain biking 365 days a year. Since May 2017, Madeira has reached the top spot in the sector, when Freeride Madeira and Clube Caniço Riders organized the 3rd round of the Enduro World Series.

A couple of months later, we went back to basics as mountain bikers, looking for old trails that connect the island from west to east and south to north. Exploring the high mountain start and ending every single day on the ocean. The Freeride Madeira project started in 2011 by three friends who have been heavily active in the local mountain bike scene since 2003.
