Dario was doing his usual mountain bike ride before Easter lunch but was found lifeless. Only time will tell if due to an illness or a fall: a serious loss for the off-road world and beyond.
Dario Acquaroli (March 10, 1975, Bergamo), was one of the pioneers of MTB in Italy. World champion in the Under23 category (1996) ahead of Cadel Evans. He was also junior world champion 1993 in Metabief.
Acquaroli pedaled until 2008 before becoming DS of Sintesi Larm. He subsequently worked for Vittoria before landing in Merida Italy, where he became marketing manager in 2021.
A great person loved by all. Condolences to the family.
