Tour of the Aosta Valley by e-MTB

A new competition format dedicated to e-bikes starts from Val D'Aosta

200 KILOMETERS IN FOUR STAGES: THIS IS ALL AROUND THE E-MTB RACE TO DISCOVER THE AOSTA VALLEY.

The first edition of the RACE is scheduled from 5 to 9 July 2022, which will lead ebikers to ride on unpublished single trails in the Aosta Valley, making the field in Cogne, Gressoney, Antey and Valpelline. The All Around Camp will move from stage to stage to welcome the participants for the day's awards ceremony in an atmosphere of true sporting happening.

Put one of the most fascinating mountain regions in Italy, take the outdoor discipline of the moment and gather two hundred people who want to live a unique experience. This will be the recipe for All Around eMTB, the stage race reserved for owners of electric mountain bikes that will take place in Valle d'Aosta from 5 to 9 July 2022.

An innovative competitive proposal that wants to present itself to the growing e-mtb movement as an opportunity to discover an attractive territory such as the Aosta Valley thanks to a circular itinerary to be covered in an anti-clockwise direction. All Around eMTB it includes four stages for a total of 200 kilometers and 8.000 meters in altitude, with departure and arrival from Cogne, in the presence of the Gran Paradiso; and for those who don't feel like tackling a four-day race, they can take part in the reduced version of the last two stages, cycling for 100 kilometers and 4.000 meters in altitude.

«Starting from our experience of logistic organization in the great African raids, we thought of an event that was able to offer the ebiker community an opportunity to live as a tribe a few days between competition, nature and a strong sociality - comments Luca Santini of All Around eMTB - and from these considerations we have found in the Aosta Valley the ideal terrain to host the first edition of our race: a territory capable of offering new trails that will lead competitors to overcome at least one hill at 2.700 meters every day».

THE PATH TO DISCOVER THE AOSTA VALLEY

The competition format of All Around eMTB 2022 is mixed: timed routes alternate with transfer sections with time limit. The competition will start from Cogne and will see the finish line of the first stage with a special stage to conquer the Forte di Bard followed by a mechanized transfer that will take the participants to Gressoney la Trinitè. Spent the night at the foot of Monte Rosa, the competitors will face the second stage which will see the passage from Val d'Ayas and arrival in Antey Sant'Andrè with a view of the Matterhorn. From here we will leave the next day for the third fraction, the most demanding and wildest of All Around eMTB, with transit through the Saint Barthèlemy valley to finish in Valpelline. Finally, the fourth stage that will pass through the historic center of Aosta, and then go up (with the cableway) up to Pila: here a special stage designed in the Pila Bike Park will wait for the competitors who, once the challenge against the time trial is over, they will embark on an adrenaline-pumping descent towards the last goal of the competition in Cogne.

THE CARE OF EVERY ORGANIZATIONAL DETAIL

A very detailed logistics will assist the participants during their race, providing a stop in the middle of each stage, to refresh themselves and above all recharge the battery of their electric mountain bike: "But that's not all: on the safety front, we will equip each participant with a satellite call system that they can activate in case of need for help" Luca Santini continues. It looks like a demanding race from a technical point of view, but All Around eMTB it will also be able to entertain and satisfy all bikers with good downhill riding skills.

However, it is the aspect linked to socialization that wants to emerge from the event: in the mid-afternoon of each day, a large structure inspired by a Tuareg tent, will welcome the participants offering them the opportunity to rest, refresh themselves with a cold beer (we will be in July!), have fun with a DJ set while waiting for the stage awards. "Even before the competitive spirit we are interested in offering a fun event, and we are sure that the community of electric mtb riders will appreciate it" Santini concludes.

The inscriptions a All Around eMTB scheduled from 5 to 9 July 2022, they will open in February: ebikers from all over Europe are expected.
