Torpado together with the R&D team and the professional athletes who are part of the teams studied a frame by increasing the development of the tube sections, using the standard flat mount for the rear brake and creating a frame dedicated to 2X and 1X transmissions.
Thanks to the use of new materials and new production processes, Torpado Impudent has improved the behavior of the Ribot N: its responsiveness has been perfected thanks to extremely short chainstays for a 2X transmission (only 430mm).
In the Ribot N, handling has been optimized thanks to a longer top tube and a shorter stem; in addition to this, better handling is guaranteed by the shorter chainstays but also by a further developed head angle: the Ribot X has a 69.5 head angle, a 73.5 ° seat tube angle and a front fork with 100mm travel.
Torpado Impudent has further developed the rear of the Ribot N: the shape and the particular arrangement of the fibers in the seat stays have been studied in order to ensure excellent absorption of vibrations, without compromising the transverse reactivity guaranteed by the shorter wagon.
In the Ribot N project a lot of attention was paid to the design by improving the predisposition for the internal passage of the cables thanks to the use of the One Way X technology where the use of an interchangeable plate allows the cables to enter a single point of the frame, making the design cleaner and facilitating both the assembly and maintenance phases.
