Long-term contract between Ineos Grenadiers and cycling star Tom Pidcock. World champion in cyclocross and e-MTB, Olympic XCO champion and winner of the gold medal at the road world championships in 2017. At 22, he has just renewed with the Ineos Grenadiers team until 2027. One of those long renewals term that you don't usually see much but that are becoming popular among the most powerful cyclists of the road squad.
Pidcock explained: “With the quality of the staff and drivers I compete with, it was clear from day one that there is no better team to spend the next five years of my career with. Ineos Grenadiers has always supported me, in all the disciplines in which I have competed. I couldn't have asked for better support. For my future goals this is definitely the best place to stay ”.
Dave Brailsford, team manager: “Tom is an incredibly talented driver, but what sets him apart is his versatility. I admire the values, they go perfectly with those of Ineos Grenadiers. Being so young, carefree and fun, the intensity and determination he has is remarkable and he gives his all every time he gets on his bike ”.
It looks like Pidcock will be focusing on MTB in search of the rainbow jersey to complete his titles in the fat wheels and that, on the horizon, he is looking to be a good tour rider. We will see what it has in store for us in the future.
