The leader of Ineos Grenadiers he won the Strade Bianche with a solo attack of 50km but then crashed twice at Tirreno-Adriatico, the second crash on stage 7 caused the minor concussion and Ineos decided on Wednesday to prescribe a rest period in line with established protocols for concussion.

During the 4th stage, Pidcock and Van Aert touched and crashed to the ground.
Pidcock was expected to lead Ineos at the Milan-San Remo but the team are hoping he can recover in time for the other Spring Classics. However, a minor concussion means Pidcock is likely to take a break from the bike and Ineos has not indicated when he will return to racing.
