All the best enduro riders have passed through this small town in the Novara area. Vouilloz, Andrea Bruno, Lorenzo Sudding, and nearly all the top national pros have raced on these trails.
An important event, 3rd stage of the 4 enduro circuit powered by Specialized, which despite the uncertain weather and which promised storms and winter temperatures, saw the presence of more than 220 starters, a sign that the desire to compete on these trails was great.
4 specials scheduled, the helicopters with its counter-slopes and revisited for the occasion, the super classic 2000 or Rasco, historic trail that everyone said is the enduro PS par excellence, the Pogno and finally a sprint that brought the riders directly to the town square on what are the paths of the mini enduro of owls, because in this land of champions they are cultivated from an early age.
The race report saw the confirmation of Berta, who for the second consecutive year is confirmed as the King of Pogno. The strong Aosta Valley athlete, in force for the team led by Bruno Zanchi, won the victory at the home of the Owls.
A tight race that saw Denny Lupato start very strong with Berta who, after having held the first two stages, managed to win the last ones and make the race her own.
In the women's field, the Gehrig sisters, returning from the first stages of the ews, competed on their own, third the constant Chiara Pastore, who with this result consolidates her top position in the championship.
In the youth field, adding up both the junior category and beginners and students, there were more than 80 rieders at the start, an excellent sign for the future of the discipline.
Among the excellent junior category Pelissero confirms himself as the fastest, with Lani and Garella competing for the leadership. Among the winners of Castelli Elia in the beginners category, the winner was Zanothel Nicolas.
Now the 4 enduro circuit is taking a break, the final will be in Trivero, on September 15th, on the trails of Oasi Zegna, where the 2019 winners will be crowned.
