This weekend La Thuile Enduro World Series

Source: press release

The weekend of 12-13 July is approaching and Italy is preparing to host the first of the two stages of the Enduro World Series 2014. The top of mountain bike enduro returns to the heart of the Alps, in La Thuile. The Valle d'Aosta town faces the discipline for the first time and does so by entering the main door, that of the top world series, thanks to the will of the Piccolo San Bernardo cableways and the local administration who strongly believed in the World Series project.

In its second edition, the Enduro World Series therefore maintains two stages in Italy, the upcoming one in La Thuile and the one in Finale Ligure, which will conclude the season. Both events will see Superenduro staff engaged in the role of technical organizer.

The program of the event is very dense and will see La Thuile at the center of the mtb world for the whole week. Starting tomorrow and until July 9, riders will be able to walk the trails of the special stages exclusively on foot. However, it will be up to the little ones to spin the wheels first, with the Kid Dual Slalom scheduled for July 9th at 16pm. From July 10th the course and the lifts will be open for free practice, scheduled from 9.30am to 17pm. of the race will open for the delivery of the tables and chips for timing detection at 9 on Friday 11 July, a day that will again see the riders engaged in free practice, again from 9.30 to 17.

The race will be divided into two days, with six special stages equally divided between Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th July. Both days will have the same format, which includes two special stages in sequence, followed by a time control that will precede the final stage. The riders will ride the PS “Superkappa”, “Mines” and “Piloni alto” on Saturday, while on Sunday it will be the turn of “Superkappa”, “Piloni basso” and “Mulino”. The numbers of the route speak for themselves, the stage of La Thuile looks like one of the most intense of the Enduro World Series. 4700 meters in altitude with 35 km of special stages that will end with the usual exciting fight on the edge of the seconds. A complete path, which ranges from the gentle slopes of the meadows at high altitude, to then dive into the technical and steep trails that descend towards the valley. Flow, rocky sections, jumps, pedaled sections, in La Thuile nothing is missing and only the most prepared riders will be able to express themselves at their best. For all the details of the route and timetables, we invite you to visit the event card.

La Thuile will experience a really intense week, with every corner of the town affected by the Enduro World Series stage. The public will be spoiled for choice and will be able to range from routes to the very rich exhibition area, in the heart of the paddock, which will also be the setting for the arrival of the last special stage of both days. For many the days of the EWS will also coincide with the summer holidays, in a location immersed in the unspoiled nature of the Alps. If you have not yet booked your stay, you can consult the best accommodation offers on the tourist portal of La Thuile.

We remind all riders and teams that it is still possible to register, even if the seats have limited availability, through this form, while all media operators who have not yet accredited can do so through the online accreditation request.

[email protected] I am a fan of everything that has 2 wheels: at a young age I practiced road and track cycling (Italian Allievi champion). At the age of 18 I passed into the cross country competing at national/international level as an Under23. Past Elite, I made the choice to take things more lightly from a training point of view, and my love for gravity disciplines was born, training me as an FCI MTB instructor and guide. Now I have made passion my profession by managing 2 MTB centers on the island of Elba (Bike Center Elba and Elba MTB), creating the FANTAmtb and telling in an ironic but professional way everything that revolves around MTB thanks to 365mountainbike and 365TV (YouTube'PULITI dentro BIKER fuori').
