The Wilier Triestina – Pirelli project unites two companies that represent Italian prestige in the cycling sector to create much more than a team, a dream: to bring an Italian team to play a dominant role in the results of international MTB races, both in Cross Country and Marathon.
Group consisting of 8 athletes:
- the Italian champions Fabian Rabensteiner e Giada Specia;
- the Belgian champion Wout Alleman;
- Daniel Geismayr, Samuele Porro, Simone Avondetto, Gioele De Cosmo e Janis Bauman.
"The last few seasons for our team have been really exciting with great results in international competitions with young athletes who have grown up with us and have achieved great successes. In the XCO World Cup we present ourselves with a very young team, but we include some of the best future talents; with the Maratona team we are ready to reap the benefits of many years of work and to define ourselves once again as one of the world top t eams both in the one-day long distance trials and in the most prestigious stage races.
