Vlad Dascalu and Filippo Colombo's Unlucky Races at Snowshoe

Unlucky race mixed with a not so great day for Vlad Dascalu in Snowshoe in America. As well as for Filippo Colombo, Swiss of BMC.

After Snowshoe, maybe we understood that mud is not the best weather condition for Vlad Dascalu (Trek Factory Racing). Or maybe he was just not having a great day and, as we know, in mud everything gets amplified. In any case, Vlad was always close to the top 10, finishing in 13th place, also due to a bad fall.

Filippo Colombo (Team BMC) is the author of an extraordinary start where he lines up the whole group, but already after the launch lap he is the author of a puncture that bounces him beyond the 40th place. Thus began the comeback of Filippo Colombo who set the best time of the entire race on lap 3: 10'22 ”! Only thanks to this lap he returns close to the top 10. In the following laps he continues to beat like a blacksmith, still setting the best time during the 6th lap.

At the sound of the bell (last lap), Colombo returns to the leading group and immediately takes the lead: he would have been a tough nut to crack for everyone. But at the first corner, on a very slippery panel due to the mud, he falls and throws a chance to the wind to win his first round of the World Cup. In the end he will finish in 5th place anyway.
