It is time for the World Cup and the first round of Lourdes is approaching, last time race in 2017 which saw a surprise victory by Alexandre Fayolle, while among the women the champion Rachel Atherton excelled. The track has new interesting sections: the Hollywhoops is very interesting, a section that can give us some nice jokers (Marcello Pesenti has already placed for the photo), and the wall, impressive only to see it in the photo.

Lourdes is a French commune of 14.361 inhabitants, located in the Hautes-Pyrénées department, in the Occitania region.
Immersed in the French Pyrenees, Lourdes is a pilgrimage destination for around 200 million people who have visited the holy city since 1860. The track is about 2km and 500m and is certainly not trivial. The French drivers will start as favorites, also due to a home factor that always has its weight.
Now space for 2 videos:
- the first shows us a lap on the track thanks to Laurie Greenland while the second we can see some RAW images from the tests, where there was no lack of falls.
thanks to Bruno from Rasoulution, we were able to ask Myriam Nicole 2 questions.

The 2021 season certainly leaves you with mixed feelings: on the one hand you have become World Champion, on the other hand, the victory of the absolute World Cup has just vanished. How did you deal with this situation? Does it give you extra motivation for next season? What are your expectations for 2022?
The 2021 season leaves me above all with a feeling of progression, my n ° 1 goal is always to do a whole season, too many seasons have been unfinished due to injuries. This goal is not an easy task when practicing an extreme sport but a mission accomplished for 2021. As for the results I am greedy so obviously I would have liked to do a double, the motivation was there but I had a difficult week to manage and I failed in the final with this crash just before the finish line. I think I can break away from the result, the disappointment was great, painful I had the feeling of touching this title too close so it wasn't pleasant but I was able to move forward quickly. Every day I remember that even if this job imposes concessions on me, I am grateful to be able to have fun on my bike, to live off my passion and all the approach to win makes me happy: finding areas to improve myself even on a mental level, to get out of mine comfort zone, to transcend myself, to move forward, to develop my technical, physical and mental abilities. When the result is not there, I think I have missed something and I learn from mistakes.

Speaking of motivation: The first race takes place in Lourdes, we can almost talk about a home race for you. Is it more motivation or is it more pressure to manage?
I did not return to Lourdes from the last world championship where I was there as a spectator because I was injured. I'm only 4 hours away from home so obviously it will be surrounded by family, friends, sponsors. There will also be a little more pressure but I have learned to manage it in recent years: I love that all my relatives participate in this great party.
