In a world where quality standards are always higher, Damil components always keeps up with new trends. With a market analysis that highlighted how high performance is important above all in terms of stiffness and lightness, the Vicenza-based company, among the novelties of 2022, has designed and built the new REM CARBON wheels, recognizable thanks to the CARBON SPOKES inscription. .
Le REM CARBON they are configured as a limited edition of wheels available only with straight pull hubs of type boost and in the titanium gray color, obtained thanks to a special anodization.
The only replaceable component is the freewheel body, so that all types of sprockets can be mounted.
The wheels were developed with the collaboration of various athletes including Mirko Tabacchi, and tested on national and international competition fields.
Both the rear and front wheels are equipped with 28 carbon fiber spokes (T700 toray) with aluminum nipples while the internal channel has a width of 25 mm to make sure you have a wheel of cross country pure.
The total weight is 1200 grams (+ -5%) and the retail price for the pair of wheels is € 2000.
But what are the strengths of REM CARBON wheels?
Normally, in traditional carbon wheels, the spokes are integrated into the structure of the rim, thus forming a single piece that cannot be disassembled.
The REM CARBON, on the other hand, are fully demountable, designed to guarantee assistance with ease. From this characteristic derives the name REM CARBON (removable carbon).
This particularity therefore allows to have the high performance typical of a carbon wheel but also the advantages that usually belong only to wheels with a more robust structure. In addition to the ease of assistance and tensioning of the spokes, they have great rigidity and smoothness, characteristics that are always much appreciated by cyclists.
The low profile carbon rims also ensure excellent riding comfort.
REM CARBON wheels are a first generation of wheels with carbon spokes, Damil components is already working to create other versions both for mountain bikes with a wider internal channel and for road bikes.
The wheels can be touched by hand at the Riva del Garda bike festival from 29 April to 1 May.
