The new World Cup managed by ESO and Discovery+ kicks off from Nove Mesto. At the start there will be all the main Italian marathon teams.

The UCI marathon mountain bike world cup ran from 2005 to 2008, before being abandoned and relegated to the UCI Marathon Series, a different concept from the World Cup since these were isolated competitions that received that status from the UCI but where there was no general classification or leaders jersey.
MARATHON WORLD CUP HONOR
Sunday 14th May will see the debut of the Cross Country while on Saturday 13th May there will be space for the Marathon, again from the Vysocina Arena in Nove Mesto na Morave. After Nove Mesto it will be the turn of Finale Ligure Sunday 4th June and then space for Les Gets and Snowshow in September/October.

There will be no LIVE content but only deferred/highlights on the UCI Mountain Bike World Series channels.

THE PATH
Participation is also open to amateurs (cost €100). The route includes a 60km ring to be repeated 2 times: at the moment there are 127 registered men from 20 nations. There will be 14 Italian men with the best Italian teams present: Wilier – Pirelli, Scott Racing team, Torpado Factory, DMT Racing team, Taddei Factory, KTM Alchemist. Soudal Lee Cougan present only with Leonardo Paez. There will also be Hubbers Polimedical with Diego Arias.
At the female level, the Italian champion is registered Claudia Peretti e Constance FasolisSurprise for Eva Lechner who, at 37 years old, decides to make her debut in the Marathon World Cup without running cross country.
