THE NATIONAL MARATHON FROM WEDNESDAY IN RETREAT ON THE VALCAVALLINA SUPERBIKE TRACK

Grumello del Monte (BG) - The meeting of the Italian national mountainbike marathon is set for this Wednesday evening which, convened by CT Hubert Pallhuber, will meet in Grumello del Monte to repeat the collegiate meeting on the Valcavallina Superbike track, the natural stage that on June 1st will award the tricolor marathon jerseys 2014.
For the national number one as regards long distance online races, it will be an exclusive preview test but also the ideal opportunity to be able to give the organizers the first important feedback regarding the innovations included on the 2013 edition track, brought for this year the mileage requested just a year ago by the national teams themselves: “In addition to being a great honor - comments Giancarlo Magri, coordinator of the organizational machine - it will be for us the first important test of the new marathon track. We will immediately have the first important opinions that will make us understand if we have worked well or if we still have to improve something in view of the important appointment with the Italian championship in June. 80 km and 3250 meters of altitude difference are the numbers on which the fate of the men's marathon will be played, 69 km and 2800 meters of altitude difference will instead be those of the women's marathon, and nothing should be left to chance: "I know the track very well and these paths - says Mirko Celestino, captain of the national team and of the Avion Axevo home team - with this mileage and this difference in height you start to get serious, you get to the point where it will no longer be enough to have great athletic skills or to know the track by heart . The first challenge to be won will be the one against oneself and one's own strength. "
On Wednesday evening, the athletes summoned by CT Pallhuber will reach Carobbio degli Angeli where they will find a welcome drink in the welcoming BeCycle showroom to officially start the retreat. On Thursday morning, the reconnaissance of all the 80 km of the race will precede the cool-down session on Friday to be held on the roads of Lake Iseo and inside the sports facilities of Axevo Bikes & Components in Sarnico, the historic brand partner of the Valcavallina Superbike. In the evening, at the Castello degli Angeli restaurant in Carobbio, the gala dinner will be held with all the blue athletes, special guests and all the sponsors of the event, an occasion in which programs and events scheduled for the weekend of June 1st will be anticipated. . The collegiate will close on the morning of Saturday 28 when the athletes will return to their corporate activities.
