Le Plan de la Tour closes the doors to the Mahikan Race champions and Santa Margherita welcomes them with open arms!
After almost a year of work at Le Plan de la Tour, in France, to try to make the most of the new races of the Mahikan Race, the French village cancels the two races, 23 days before the race! There are no causes attributable to the race organizers. Date: 20 October.
Many champions are expected, from Loic Bruni, the 4-time world champion in downhill, Martin Maes world champion Enduro, Sylvain André world champion BMX, Christophe Laporte, Christophe Le Mevel, Rudy Molard, Victor Verrault Canadian XCE champion, Oliviero Troia, Julien Trarieux , Loris Revelli.
Out of respect for these champions, some already in possession of airline tickets, the organization of the Mahikan Race has reached an agreement with the organizing club of the Italian Cup in Santa Margherita Ligure.
The President of Portofino Bike and head of the Liguria Federation of Gravity disciplines, Simone Brescia, immediately made himself available to collaborate with the Mahikan staff and was happy to welcome champions of different nationalities to the Italian Cup.
Riders of different disciplines and road riders will put on a show on October 20th in the last stage of the cup!
The stage in Santa Margherita Ligure thus becomes the Coppa Italia Urban Downhill

Champions and amateurs will find themselves running together on the track of this splendid Urban of almost 2 km on asphalt, cobblestones, concrete and obstacles that descends steeply in the center of the splendid town! Mountains and Sea are the backdrop to this unique race!
The whole Ligurian town has given its support, from the mayor Paolo Donadoni to the president of the hoteliers Giuseppe Pastine, Liguria, as always, proves to be a reactive and effective land.
For the race, a magazine will be produced with international distribution on Horizon TV Sport, in Italy on the Bike Channel and on Rai Sport in the Radio Corsa program, in Canada on COGECO TV and RDS TV Sport, the Chaine L'Equipe in France.
