The town of Varazze at its debut in a high-level enduro race exceeds expectations and amazes everyone with an excellent organization and ten-and-praise trails

The second stage of the Superenduro powered by SRAM season ended in Varazze with an epic race that will probably be remembered by the riders who have raced it as one of the toughest ever.

The new Italian MTB enduro champions, Vittorio Gambirasio Team Officine Red Bike from Turin and Laura Rossin Bike Garage Revolution Intense from Imperia, both in top form this season, mentally took home the victory in both the male and female categories. and physically strong and able to repel the numerous attack attempts of rivals who promptly arrived PS after PS.
“It is my first overall victory at the Superenduro” says Vittorio as soon as he got off the stage “I have always been close by but I almost never managed to reach the top step. Having succeeded here in Varazze in such a difficult and treacherous race gives me great satisfaction and strength for the next rounds ”.

But to bring home the result, together with the satisfaction of the excellent local organization Vaze Free Time, was also a new location in the enduro mtb scene, Varazze, which after this weekend undoubtedly earns a prestigious space among the spots that an enduro rider must definitely visit.
"The Superenduro has allowed many bikers to know and discover our territory and our paths, for us this event must represent a starting point to continue in the development of mountain bike tourism in this area of Liguria" he declared satisfied at the end of the Marco D'Aliesio event of Vaze Free Time.

The location by the sea is in itself an incredible value but the beauty of the landscapes on the Ligurian Riviera of PS 1 and 4, as well as the practically alpine ones inside the Beigua Park of the PS2 and ps3 are the setting for really crazy trails , completely integrated into nature, which left everyone speechless for variety and technical level.
Along these trails, on which in the months preceding the race the trail builders of the BIT crew - Beigua Insane Tribù - worked very hard duels on the edge of tenths of a second.

Despite this Vittorio Gambirasio, in the lead on 2 out of 4 specials, closes with a good margin on his direct rivals. Nicola Casadei is second at +7: 80 sec and Marcello Pesenti after a great comeback in ps3 finishes third at +16: 69. Nothing to do for the podium ambitions of the very fast Frenchman Julien Camellini who maintains the second position up to PS2 only to give way to the pressure of the two riders of the Airoh-Ion-Santacruz Team Nicola and Marcello.

In the female category Laura had to see first with Alia Marcellini Team Cingolani, winner of PS1 and then with the Swiss twins Carolin and Anita Gehrig with whom she alternated in the first positions battling each special but in the end breaking them respectively by + 3: 56sec and +16: 75sec.

The youth categories SE-G and SE-1 are also increasingly participating, which in effect represent the future of this discipline and which the Superenduro always welcomes with great joy. It was really nice to see the jerseys of many teams already on these little riders and this indicates how much work there is in the teams to grow the champions of tomorrow.

Also in the E-MTB category we saw several new faces, proving that the "phenomenon" is still local but well present in the area. Giorgio Righi back to win on Paolo Fenocchio +0: 49sec and Lusa Morgan +1 ': 05.33.

Soon with the arrival of summer, precisely the last weekend of June, we will leave the warm places such as Massa Marittima and Varazze to head to the mountains towards Canazei in the heart of the Trentino Dolomites where the third stage of the Superenduro powered by SRAM will be held. 2016.
After the Massa Marittima flow and the Varazze technician, what will await us in Canazei? Get ready it will again be a race to be discovered!
