The fourth edition of Italian Bike Festival will start on Friday 10 September 2021, the most important Italian event dedicated to the bicycle sector and its enthusiasts, which for the past 4 years has gathered thousands of people at the Fellini Park in Rimini to discover and preview the news of the two-wheeler market.
Three days of event, until Sunday 12 September, which will allow the over 30.000 expected participants to get to know, approach or deepen their relationship with the two wheels, thanks to a rich schedule of activities, courses, shows, talks and the presence of over 400 brands of the Bike industry.
The commitment made in 2018 towards companies, operators and lovers of two wheels is therefore renewed and consolidated: to represent a constant in the relationship between all these actors, a place of meeting and comparison within which to discover a preview of the news of the market of the following year but above all do it with the expert advice of those who have studied those novelties and are ready to launch them on the market. A direct link between the company and the enthusiast that is renewed from year to year and which has made the Italian Bike Festival one of the main European showcases for the cycling sector.
The event, which again this year makes use of the collaboration and support of the Municipality of Rimini, APT Servizi Emilia Romagna and Visit Romagna, will take place within a village of over 50.000 square meters, in the center of which the now iconic Off-Road Arena e-powered by Bosch eBike Systems: a 3.600 mXNUMX area used for testing MTBs and eMTBs and designed to satisfy every level of riding.
Off road test for the older ones and MTB School for young riders. Thanks to the collaboration with Fluxo and Road To Trail at the Italian Bike Festival it will be possible for our kids to take their first steps on parabolic tracks, rock gardens and obstacles of different nature and difficulty. On the other hand, the little ones (up to 12 years old) will be able to test their balance on two wheels thanks to the Pumptrack Evolve and the use of balance bikes.
Also this year cycling tourism will be the protagonist of the event, with the creation of the now famous Tourism Village, which encompasses all those tourist realities that make mobility on two wheels and slow tourism an engine of their economy. A unique opportunity for the tourism sector to meet that of the bike industry and an opportunity for the public who will be able to discover which and how many incredible “Bike friendly” destinations exist in Italy and abroad.
“La Malatestiana” will be back, the cycle tourism of the Signoria of Rimini, which on Sunday 12 September will accompany the participants to discover the wonders of the Romagna hinterland and the Marecchia valley through the protected paths of the Via Romagna; as well as the Cargo Bike Revolution, a 5 km ride in the center of Rimini born with the aim of raising public awareness and encouraging the use of this particular bicycle in urban contexts.
A theme, that of soft mobility and the now infinite alternative possibilities of sustainable urban mobility, which will return cyclically and in different forms over the course of the three days.
Not only events such as the Cargo Bike Revolution and training and in-depth moments. At the Italian Bike Festival there will be a wide range of vehicles designed and built with a view to revolutionizing the concept of travel: the one in the city, with the presence of electric scooters, Urban Bikes and eBikes, and the recreational / tourist one, with the most great Italian eBike exhibition, from road to MTB.
The shows for the public will also return, with 8 appointments over the weekend that will see some of the strongest Freestyle athletes alternate and with the possibility for the most daring to try their hand at the "best trick" challenge on a soft landing jump. it's safe.
But it doesn't stop there! The busy program of "Extra Festival" activities, one of the great novelties of this edition of the event, will range from "green" and sustainability, with appointments with the Bergamont Plastic Free Ride, to culture, with the preview of the film on the ultracyclist Omar Di Felice, from training, with workshops, conferences and talks, to the "inner awakening", with Yoga courses on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
The 5 companies selected for the IBF Startup Program will also be present in Rimini, the innovative project created in collaboration with the Bikeconomy Observatory that will award the best bike-themed startup in Italy.
There are also many new partnerships for this edition of the Festival. Among these, the one with Waze, the free navigation app with 140 million users worldwide, Mobility Partner of the 2021 edition of the Italian Bike Festival. Thanks to this collaboration, all motorists who will be in the areas affected by the event will be updated in real time on the traffic situation in the city of Rimini and on the roads closed to traffic, the opening and closing times of the streets, so as to allow correct flow of car traffic.
