This year has been a very special year for the summer holidays. Many of us have passed them in Italy, thus discovering the countless beauties and possibilities that our peninsula offers. And many have also appreciated the use of bicycles, especially in the mountains! Like in Pila, in the Aosta Valley, where you can try your hand at the adventurous tracks of the Bike Park or prefer the use of eBikes and ride in the midst of spectacular nature. Reachable in just 18 minutes by cable car directly from Aosta.
For the last week of opening - from 31 August to 7 September - the “Bikepass 2 × 1” promotion is back: at a cost of 25 euros, you will have a complete lift ticket valid for two consecutive days. Bikers will be able to ride twice as much!
Great news this year and much appreciated by all bikers - beginners and pros - is the new flow trail that always crosses the entire area starting at the arrival of the Chamolé chairlift. A new exciting and fun track to be covered strictly downhill. Gravity lovers will be able to ride along the 16 paths inside the bike park which are divided with different colors according to the level of difficulty: blue for beginners, red for intermediate bikers and black for the more experienced. All the trails have alternations between more flow sections and with leaning curves, single tracks with natural characteristics and, as regards the paths marked in red and black, artificial interventions such as drops and jumps. Pure adrenaline!
In Pila, in addition to the Bike Park tracks, there is a permanent ring dedicated to cross-country, about 4,5 km long, easily reachable from the arrival of the cable car or from the lift car park. Furthermore, a rich network of paths branches off along the Pila basin, towards the surrounding peaks, with over 800 meters of positive difference in altitude to be explored by mountain bike or e-bike, among emerald lakes and fragrant fir woods. All Pila services will be open until Monday 7 September, including the two bike and accessory rentals: at the start of the Chamolé chairlift is the rental dedicated to downhill to enduro, freeride and XC, while the Pila E-Bike Center is located at the arrival of the gondola lift, complete with a wide range of enduro e-mtb equipment.
