The Lacona route, on the Island of Elba, will be 35km for almost 1.400m. The scenarios, we guarantee you, are dizzying since we at 365mountainbike know them well.
After having praised the route of the 2nd round of the Toscano Enduro Series (editor's note, run on April 14th), we present the Lacona route, also taken care of in the smallest detail and truly stimulating and well suited to e-bikes.
Stage 1 Chief Fonza
The test takes place in the Capo Fonza area, a pristine peninsula immersed in the Tuscan Archipelago Park with a strong landscape impact.
It starts near an ancient stone goat to dive into the first part of the rocky test with a fairly rough and steeply sloping bottom. In this section the vegetation is low, typically Mediterranean.
A fast sandy straight leads us into the second part of the route, made of tight hairpin bends and steep and technical raises in an undergrowth of holm oaks. The bottom is quite compact but there are passages between boulders and stones.
The last part takes us to the former Segagnana road made of rocks and sandy channels. The test ends in the nearby town of Laconella.
PS 2 Pond
Still on the promontory of Capo Fonza we go up to the right towards Mount Tambone and almost reached the top we find the start of the test.
The whole first part is characterized by the succession of rocky sections and sandy channels. In this section the test is particularly fast in a wide trail with a long view.
The second part is a more technical single track, rocky and with considerable slopes. At the end the earth and the sand return… ..and super panorama.
We are back in Laconella.
Stage 3 Serra del Pero
Historical-mythical path of the Elban enduro.
We are on the central ridge on the slopes of Mount Barbatoia and begin in a wooded stretch first on a compact ground, then between technical rocky passages interspersed with fast straights.
From the woods we pass to the maquis that allows us to see Lacona and the beaches below us.
PS 4 Via della lime
We arrive at Capo Stella peninsula in the center of the two gulfs that characterize Lacona, where the last two tests will take place.
We start from Monte Grosso with the sea on our right and on our left. We quickly walk along the ridge and then enter a short stretch of steep descent with tight curves that leads to a long traverse along the coast.
It is a suggestive ups and downs between rosemary and brooms with a compact earth bottom that ends near the Cala Chiara inlet.
PS 5 Ocean
The test begins with a fun guided stretch between the flowering scrub and the sea in the background. You get to the "head" quickly enough to seem like a dive.
We go down to the left of the promontory in a challenging trail made up of fast downhill sections, short but intense raises and counter-slope.
The ground is quite compact but as always there are rocks.Download the GPX tracks

As for the showers, the participants will be able to keep the room or apartment until after the end of the race in order to allow them to come back and take a shower.

Friday 26
. At the time of collection of the number, one of our representatives will be present who will give the members a bracelet with which they can obtain a 20% discount at the affiliated premises (which will display the logo of the event; with the same they can then enter the dining area for the pasta party after the race.

At the same time, the accompanying persons who will be interested, by paying a participation fee, will be given a bracelet of a different color with which they will obtain the same advantages as those who compete and will therefore also be able to participate in the pasta party. The menu will be published on our website shortly.
. We remind you that from about 15 pm on Friday until about 22 pm, some roads will be closed so it will then be impossible to reach tests n. 1 - 2 - 3.
. Furthermore, to participate in the briefing some accommodation facilities will be affected by the closure of the roads and therefore the participants will not be able to reach the paddock area by car but only with a short walk.
