The third season of the e-Enduro circuit opened with the Alassio stage.
The Ligurian town certainly did not find itself unprepared for the first e-bike main event of the year by providing the most important square close to the sea as an Expo Area and the beating heart of the race to the delight of exhibitors and participants, but not adopting the same treatment for the Team Area which could and should have been larger and closer to the race start area.
Among the sponsors of the circuit were present with their Specialized products, title sponsor of the circuit, Brose with the "recharge station" available to all participants, Vittoria Tires, Fox with the "Service" van, Mr Wolf, Deaneasy, Double3, Resolvbike, Andreani Group / Ohlins, while among the exhibitors there were Haibike, Husqvarna, Lapierre, Giant, Suntour, Scuderia Fontana, Bad School.
On Saturday a fantastic sun accompanied the more than 170 prescribed athletes who patrolled the 4 special stages scheduled for the race which immediately proved to be very physical and long.
As expected, many new members of the circuit including Nicola Casadei, Bormolini Jessica (Signor Lupo ASD), Marco Aurelio Fontana (Scuderia Fontana), Davide Sottocornola (Cicobikes-DSB-Nonsolofango), Milivinti Marco (Tub Racing ASD), Stefano Ossati ( Officine Thomas Trek), Manuel Ducci (Cicobikes-DSB-Nonsologango), who on tiptoe and with great humility have been able to bring a lot of experience and visibility, demonstrating that the e-Bike user is a real athlete, with large attributes, driving skills and the first test of the e-Enduro circuit in Alassio has amply demonstrated this.

Sunday morning opened with a minute of silence around Nicola Costa's enduro e-bike # 338 who died prematurely in recent days due to an illness at the age of only 28.
The race day went on very quickly and it was immediately Andrea Garibbo (Haibike Factory Team Italia) and Martinelli Simone (Cicobikes-DSB-Nonsolofango), the two main contenders already last season, who battled with the fierce Davide Sottocornola ( Cicobikes-DSB-Nonsolofango) and Nicola Casadei (Mr. Lupo ASD) behind them, demonstrating that two more years of experience on e-bikes are a nice added value in terms of racing.
After more than 30 minutes of special stages it was the reigning champion Andrea Garibboa who won the race followed by Martinelli Simone and Davide Sottocornola.
Among the women Laura Rossin, three times Italian Enduro Champion (Soul Cycles Racing Team) did not leave much hope to her respective opponents by winning all the special stages in the program and leaving behind the newcomer Bormolini Jessica (Signor Lupo ASD) and Chiara pastore ( Team Locca) winner of the 2018 e-Enduro circuit.
