After 14 years Capoliveri will not have the Legend Cup in 2024, one of the most important Marathons on the international scene, and so will the newly created Legend XCO, which in a short time has already won the favor of professionals in the Olympic discipline, but it doesn't end there history, indeed, will work to return more ready than ever in 2025.

A long activity of the ASD Capoliveri Bike Park, which began way back in 2009. Many years, a long road to emerge, pedaling against all odds and predictions, but many challenges "WON", thanks to our stubbornness, tenacity, humility and love towards our Earth. Now the time has come to undertake new projects and reach new goals, with the hope of being up to them, with the knowledge that we will give our all, as always!
Considering the events organized in recent years, of international importance, the organization of which required a great effort, both in economic terms but above all in terms of human resources, despite our society being made up of a board of directors and a number of volunteer members, the latter being increasingly fewer in number, we took the opportunity to understand whether this immense effort should still be carried out in this way.
Also given the needs required by the Sport Reform, our decision, in agreement with the Municipal Administration of Capoliveri, was therefore to stop the organization of sporting events for a year, to better concentrate our human and economic resources on our territory, an increasingly popular destination reached every year by thousands of tourists from all over Europe.
The last few years have been full of satisfactions on an international level, but at the same time they have drained our psychophysical energies.
An Italian Championship, an XCM World Championship, Marathon Series, international XCO races of the highest HC category, thanks also to the Federal Circuit of the Italian International very expensive. Continuously changing regulations, obligations and laws require that those who follow them are now professionals and no longer simple volunteers, even if they have always been professional in what they have done.
All this led us to a decision, difficult but fundamental for our future. 2024 will be used by our Group, or rather wonderful Group, for a structural and corporate reorganization, where we will concentrate our work on our territory, as anticipated, through the consolidation of the existing paths which require particular care, as our vegetation has a very fast regrowth time, the creation of new services and tracks in the Bike Park, to project us towards the future, the planning and implementation of which involve a considerable commitment, to lay the foundations towards new goals.
All these projects will allow the CAPOLIVERI BIKE PARK, on Monte Calamita, and the Municipality of CAPOLIVERI, to be recognized as a point of reference in the panorama of international OUTDOOR cycling, with an undoubted impact on the entire tourist sector of Elba, an Cycling is now undoubtedly recognized on the island, probably thanks also to our contribution.
A BIKE PARK that comes close to those already existing in much of Italy and the world, combined with the wonders of our island and the sea that surrounds it, will certainly be a turning point which, with the right tourism promotion channels, will catapult It isolates even more bikers, also considering the fact that from a climatic point of view on Elba it is possible to cycle all year round.
The interest of important companies, leaders in the sector, who see Elba as a paradise for MTB, and very often it is chosen as a location for marketing operations, shooting, also through our collaboration, was the input that gave us made us lean towards the decision to start a new path, to have a more competitive territory in the near future, when we return, because we will certainly return with many new things!
Important sporting projects with exceptional partners, who had contacted us, were planned for the 2024 season, for the inclusion of our events in new or existing circuits, which fills us with immense pride, signifying how much good we have been able to build and realize. An apology is due to these people and companies, with the hope that we will be able to pick up where we left off as soon as possible.
We are working on all this with the Municipal Administration, which will also support us for the involvement of the Tuscan Archipelago National Park in these projects, but where in our view also hoteliers and all tourist operators, who are the main users of this induced, they will have to do their part.
Taking these projects back into control is of fundamental importance for us, because they require time and energy without being distracted by other priorities.

Every year new BIKE PARKS and TRAIL AREAS are created, in Italy and abroad. Cutting-edge structures with very important economic investments and services with attention to the smallest details.
The offer available to Bikers is wider every day, the competition is very fierce.
We must work to offer a more competitive product on the market. To do this we need to sacrifice at least a year of purely competitive events to focus on the new objectives.
