Thanks to 29″ wheels and ultralight frames, the new XTC line offers speed, efficiency and great versatility on every trail. cross country.

2020 XTC Adv 0 For Giant

Giant, world leader in cycling technologies, presents the new range of XTC 29 bicycles, with composite material frames - with a lower overall weight and better performance than previous models - which make them among the cross country lightest and most responsive on the market. The new range includes two lines: the XTC Advanced SL 29 and the XTC Advanced 29. Both represent the evolution of the iconic front which in the last 20 years has been the protagonist of various victories on the racing fields, such as the World Cup, the Hero Marathon and the most important races of cross country professional.

Designed to optimize the stability and speed of 29-inch wheels on XC terrain, the new hardtail frames on these bikes offer immediate power transmission and unique handling. Each frame is individually tuned for various sizes and designed to maximize vertical stability without compromising its rigidity.
In addition to the materials, the geometry of the frame has also been reworked and adapted to meet the needs of modern racers cross country, giving them an incredibly responsive ride. The aggressive 69,5° head angle allows for fast and confident handling up front, while the 73,5° seat angle allows riders to position themselves further forward and tackle each sprint with the least possible loss of power.

Both versions of the 2020 XTCs are designed to support 100mm forks and feature a new optimized head tube shape, which reduces weight, maintains the right stiffness and improves ride quality. All new models are designed to accommodate a 30,9mm diameter seat post, so you can install a dropper post if desired. The greater width of the hubs with Boost technology optimizes the performance of the 29 '' wheels and offers the possibility of mounting tires with larger sections, improving overall driving comfort. All models are also equipped with Giant Tubeless System technology and tubeless tires.

XTC ADVANCED SL 29
The new XTC Advanced SL 29 builds on its pedigree of World Cup victories and is presented with a completely redesigned frame, representing the lightest XC bike Giant ever built. The ultralight frame is handcrafted with the high-quality Advanced SL compound, reaches a total weight of just 920 grams (medium size) and features optimized geometry for its 29-inch wheels. The frame of these bicycles is assembled with a specific material composition scheme that varies according to the various sizes: the result is unparalleled climbing efficiency.

XTC ADVANCED 29
Handcrafted from Giant's premium quality compounds, the XTC Advanced 29 frame weighs just 995g (mid-size), far less than the previous generation (weighing 1259g). As with the XTC Advanced 29 SL, this frame is also handcrafted with a specific material layering scheme that varies according to frame size, to create the perfect relationship between stiffness, weight and vertical balance. The result is a bike that tackles the steepest climbs smoothly and offers greater safety and control on the fastest trails. Like the XTC Advanced SL 29, this bike also features Boost hub spacing, which improves wheel stiffness and allows for larger tires to be fitted.
