Less than two months and in Val di Sole a new summer season will start in the name of fat wheels. It could not be otherwise for a valley now used to breathing the atmosphere of the great Mountain Bike in all its forms.
From Thursday 2 June, day of the celebrations of the Republic, to Sunday 5th June, the season will officially kick off with an extraordinary opening of the Bike Park Val di Sole in Commezzadura, in a particularly rich weekend for all fans of two wheels, gravity and more.
From 1 to 4 June, Val di Sole will host the 2022 edition of IMBA Europe Summit in Folgarida, while by 3 5 to June is scheduled Val di Sole BikeFest, the great bike festival that will have its heart in Daolasa di Commezzadura.
Val di Sole BikeFest is a unique and special three-day event, in which every type of biker will find the perfect proposal to immerse themselves in an area of infinite riches and ideal to be discovered by bicycle: from bike tests to guided exclusions, from food & drink areas to events dedicated to young people and much more.
The extraordinary opening of the Bike Park Val di Sole also coincides with the summer opening of Alpe Daolasa Refuge, which at over 2000 meters above sea level represents a reference point for the users of solar plants.
Starting from Saturday 11 June to Sunday 25 September, the lifts of the Bike Park Val di Sole will welcome visitors every day (from 08.30 am to 12.45 pm e from 14.00 am to 17.15 pm) with the sole exception of the month of August (from 1st to 31st), when the Bike Park will observe a continuous timetable for the first time (from 08.30 am to 17.15 pm).
The cable cars Daolasa 1 (open until 25 September) e Daolasa 2 (open until September 18) will allow direct access to the Bike Park Val di Sole.
Saturday 11 June will also open its doors to fans Pontedilegno-Tonale Bike Park, the first family-friendly bike park in Trentino thanks to its flow proposal and accessible even to children. The Pontedilegno-Tonale Bike Park will observe a continuous schedule, from 08.30 am to 16.30 pm, until the close of Sunday September 11.
Those who love gravity with a high technical rate, with the dream of emulating the deeds of the champions of Downhill looking forward to seeing them live at the Mountain Bike World Cup Grand Final (2-4 September), he will find bread for his teeth on the four tracks of the Bike Park Val di Sole.
There are three red slopes, Wild Grizzlies, Golden Eagle e White wolf, the latter redesigned last year and highly appreciated by enthusiasts, while it is classified as a black run Black Snake, the legendary track that awarded the World Champion titles Downhill in 2021 and which will decide the winner of the 2022 World Cup next September.
